After successful launches in New York and Los Angeles in 2011, PromaxBDA’s Executive Mentorship Program has gone national and applications are now open to members from around the country interested in either becoming or helping shape the next generation of leadership in the media and entertainment marketing industry.
Mentee candidates must be high-performing, focused, mid-level professionals or early-stage entrepreneurs looking to rigorously develop their leadership skills and career strategies.
Mentor candidates must be top-level network executives or agency heads ready to spend one year passing on their knowledge of the skills needed to activate the next stage of career opportunities in the changing media landscape.
Both parties, if selected, will allocate three contact hours per month in person or via phone and email communications. The next program cycle launches in conjunction with PromaxBDA: The Conference, on June 11, 2012, when mentors and mentees come together for a collaborative training session in effective communication, leadership, coaching and optimizing the mentorship partnership.
Anchored in a commitment to diversity and inclusion, the Executive Mentorship Program creates an environment that gives “both mentors and mentees opportunities to grow,” said Pilot agency owner and former mentor Louis Venezia. “Connecting with my mentee meant really listening to his experiences, which opened me up to challenging my own expectations and processes. The program's framework allows for these kind of insights. That's significant and rare.”
