Awards FAQs

QUESTIONS STILL LEFT UNANSWERED?

Please reach out to awards@promax.org for a one-on-one consultation.

General

Q: Do I need to include a marketing objective with each entry?
A: The marketing objective is helpful in many instances, especially when it comes to judging. Things to include are intended purpose, creative direction, the results of a promo, and other essential information required for certain categories. This field cannot be left blank when saving an entry and cannot be edited once an invoice has been generated for your entry.
Q: How do we upload digital materials in the form of JPG, WEB, or PNG files?

A: This content must be submitted as archived interactive material via video upload.

Q: What entry content can be edited once an invoice is generated?

A: The launch date and credits can be altered once a dedicated entry invoice is created. Videos and PDFs can also be replaced from the entry dashboard. Click “Modify” next to any entry to edit its content.

Q: What’s the difference between Credited Company, Company Credit and Agency Credit?
A: Company Credit and Agency Credit is necessary to tabulate points for the Of The Year awards. These fields are only available for the following competitions: North America, Europe, and Global Excellence. The Credited Company section, however, is mandatory for every entry within every competition. The information input here will be displayed on potential finalist/winners lists and trophies.
Q: How are Of The Year award finalists/winners determined?
A: Points are allotted for every win a company or agency has. 3 points for gold, 2 points for silver, and 1 point per bronze winning entry (bronze not applicable for the Europe competition as only gold and silver are awarded). The total points are then calculated and compared amongst all entrants.
Q: Why is it a category in which I entered was not included with other winners?
A: If a category is absent from the winners list this means it did not have enough entries to make the category competitive. A non-competitive category is considered to have less than FOUR entries. An email for future credit will be sent to any entrant who has paid for an entry that was in a noncompetitive category.
Q: Can I watch the videos for entries within a competition?
A: Only winning entries can be viewed within a given competition. These can be found on the winners guide or can be accessed via the Play Media function on our search award winners/duplicate award order page.
Q: How can I apply or nominate a judge/juror?
A: Visit the awards page and click the text box that reads “Apply or Nominate a Judge or Juror” (right side of the screen).
Q: Are complimentary statues provided after the awards show?
A: Gold and Silver complimentary statues will be sent to the address listed in the account of the submitting profile (for winning entries). If the competition awards Bronze winners they will not receive complimentary statues, but can order them via our duplicate awards order form. Please allow a few weeks after the conclusion of the awards show to receive the complimentary trophies.

Duplicate Awards

Q: Can I order a duplicate trophy from more than one category at a time?
A: While you can order – and customize – up to 9 trophies for one winning entry at a time, you cannot place an order than encompasses two separate entries.
Q: If I order multiple duplicate trophies is there a single shipping cost?
A: The shipping cost is applied on an individual trophy basis. Meaning, every trophy you order will have its own cost for shipping and handling. For anything shipped domestically (within the United States) the cost will be $50 per trophy; anything shipped internationally will be $85 per trophy.
Q: What level membership do I need to receive discounts on award entries and duplicate awards?

A: Either the signature or premium memberships will provide the discount. The peer level membership does not provide discounts for entries and duplicate awards.

Q: Do I need to include a Tax ID number when ordering duplicate awards?
A: A Tax ID number is necessary when shipping trophies to United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, India, and Israel. It’s also important to update your account’s mailing address to reflect this should you live in any of these countries.
Q: Who can order a duplicate award?
A: Your name must be included on the credits list of a winning entry in order to receive a duplicate trophy. If you are not listed within the credits, the original entrant must contact us to allow purchase of a duplicate. In order to check the credits of an entry use the award winners search and click the text that reads “Credits…” underneath the Entry ID (left side of the screen).
Q: Where can I order a duplicate award certificate?
A: We do not offer certificates any longer, just trophies for purchase. If you, however, need a confirmation letter, please contact our email – Awards@promax.org – stating which winning entries you’d like listed. Please note, for any winning entry included within a letter of confirmation you must be listed in the credits section.
Q: I can’t seem to order any duplicate awards past the 2009 competition year?
A: Our online database only spans back to 2009. For help ordering/locating any awards from 1998-2008 please contact our email – Awards@promax.org – for assistance.
Q: I’d like the plaque on my trophy to read something different, can this be replaced?
A: Yes, simply email us – Awards@promax.org – with the updated information and we will generate and invoice for replacement and provide details on how to replace the plaque. For a new plaque plus shipping and handling the cost is $23.75.
Q: How long does it take for a duplicate awards order to reach me?
A: Duplicate trophies will typically take 6-8 weeks to reach your address once an order has been placed. Please note, the specified shipping process will not begin until the entire payment has been made for your order.
