Roger Hyde

SVP, Advertising and Creative Services, AT&T Entertainment Group

After graduating from Film School with distinction, Hyde began his 30-year television career as a film editor of non-fiction programming for the state-owned National Television Broadcaster in South Africa. He then joined Young & Rubicam as an agency producer before launching himself as a director/editor of television commercials throughout the European community, working in more than eight countries on local and multi-national brands.

After immigrating to the United States in 1994, he continued directing commercials with representation by production companies on three continents, while producing an award winning, feature-length documentary, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival before being shown at over 30 film festivals around the world.

He joined DIRECTV in 2001 where he transformed the creative services group into a full-service, in-house agency, production company and post-production facility. He was tasked to produce marketing communications to support the various revenue and retention areas for all 20+ million subscribers of the nation’s premier satellite provider, while developing and executing a competitive brand strategy.

In addition to his broadcast responsibilities, in 2009 Hyde opened an in-house print creative group for DIRECTV in New York, to produce advertising for acquisitions and direct marketing to help drive 3+ million new subscribers to the platform each year. He also helms the corporation’s brand integrity group and manages a team of 112 employees.

His cumulative body of work has garnered more than 200 local and international awards, and has been showcased in festivals throughout the globe.

Hyde is an active member of the In-House Agency Forum and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Lucas Aragón

Design Director, ABC Entertainment Marketing

Creative professional with 20+ years experience leading design and marketing departments at major television networks and creative agencies. He has worked on two network launches (OWN and National Geographic Channel) and numerous rebrands.

Lucas is originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico and studied Graphic Design and Television Production at Eastern New Mexico University, where he still mentors students. Lucas is an active member with PromaxBDA and has served on the Board of Directors and as a mentor for the organization’s various programs.

Currently he is the Design Director for ABC Entertainment Marketing. This is his second time working for the network.  The first being in 2004-08.  He has also worked at Lifetime and various local television stations. He’s won BDA, Promax, Telly Awards and a Local Emmy.  When he’s not working or watching television, he enjoys traveling and seeing the world.

Pamela Craciun

VP, Creative Director, TNT

Pamela Craciun serves as VP, creative director for TNT, one of the top networks on cable. In this capacity, she supervises the overall creative look and voice for TNT. Craciun and her staff work closely with TNT’s marketing, research and brand-development groups to craft and refine the “Drama” brand. Craciun is based in Atlanta and reports to Ron Korb, SVP, group creative director for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).

Craciun was promoted to her current position in 2008. As creative director, she has crafted numerous innovative promotional elements for the network, specifically when it comes to launching and sustaining new and returning series. Her creative work for TNT includes current and past work on “The Closer” and “Rizzoli & Isles,” basic cable’s top two series of all time, as well as TNT’s hit series “Dallas” and the epic drama “Falling Skies.”

Craciun joined TNT in 1995 and has worked her way up through several creative roles, from writer/producer to executive director of original series promotion. 

TNT is a network within Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., which creates and programs branded news, entertainment, animation and young adult media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around the world.

Christopher Donovan

SVP, Creative Marketing, E! Entertainment and Esquire Network

Christopher Donovan serves as SVP, Creative Marketing at E! and Esquire Network where he oversees creative development and execution of the networks' creative advertising and content.  Donovan has been responsible for the overall creative direction of E! as a global pop culture powerhouse, along with the network's hit series, including scripted projects "The Royals” and "The Arrangement" and unscripted series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," "Botched," "Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry" and "Total Divas."  Most recently Donovan served as the SVP creative on-air and online promotions department for The CW Television Network where he was instrumental in the initial launch of The CW as well as the development and execution of innovative and highly successful multi-platform campaigns for series such as “Arrow,” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “America’s Next Top Model” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Donovan joined The CW from The WB Network, where he was responsible for the on-air campaigns for “Gilmore Girls,” “Everwood,” “Smallville,” “Beauty and the Geek” and “Supernatural,” and prior to The WB, Donovan served as creative director for Fox Sports and Fox Sports Net, working with such preeminent sports franchises as The NFL, The MLB, The NBA and NASCAR.  Donovan’s extensive advertising background includes his creative and production experience for many of the industry’s leading agencies such as  BBDO, JWT and Grey Group working on campaigns for such clients as Apple, Pepsi, Nike, Visa, Frito-Lay, Procter & Gamble and HBO.  Throughout his career, Donovan’s creative efforts have earned numerous nominations and awards, including Clio, Cannes, New York Film Festival, London International Advertising, Telly, PromaxBDA Awards.

Robert Gottlieb

EVP, Head of Marketing, FOX Sports

Robert Gottlieb is the Executive Vice President, Marketing at FOX Sports.

In this role, Gottlieb is responsible for all aspects of FOX Sports’ on-air, off-air and consumer marketing efforts including television, print, online, radio and outdoor creative for FOX Sports; FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2,; FOX Deportes; and FOX Sports Digital assets.

As FOX Sports marketing head, Gottlieb’s primary objective is to shape the perception of the FOX Sports brand, and develop unique messaging in an effort to create an emotional connection with viewers and users in order to maximize audience and user potential. His group consists of the strategic planning, marketing services, consumer marketing, in-house and out-of-house creative divisions.

Gottlieb was responsible for developing the long-lead, multi-platform marketing campaign that created exceptional consumer awareness of FOX Sports 1, which launched nationally on Aug. 17. The ad campaign created tremendous “brand likability" and "intent to view" measurements leading up to launch. He also created an on-air look for FOX Sports 1's marketing that stamps the network as top-tier, unique, vibrant, fresh and fun.

Prior to becoming head of marketing, Gottlieb was responsible for FOX Sports’ video marketing assets as well as the conception and production of campaigns, while also providing creative support to FOX Soccer, Fox Deportes, FUEL TV, SPEED and Gottlieb joined FOX Sports in 2004 as vice president, creative director of on-air promotions for FOX Sports and FSN.

The FOX Sports in-house creative group has been widely recognized for excellence by industry peers, having won several awards, including “Spot of the Year” at the 2010 Sports Media Marketing Awards, sweeps of the on-air categories at the Sports Emmy Awards in 2011 and 2009, and more than 90 PromaxBDA Awards since 2004, including the inaugural “Marketing Team of the Year” Gold in 2011.

Pat Shaver

Director U-verse TV Member Marketing, AT&T Services Inc.

Pat Shaver is an experienced producer in on-air promotions and commercial production, with more than 20 years working on top category brands including Revlon, Alfa Romeo and, most notably, the iconic entertainment brand, Playboy.

Shaver has been a guiding force in producing engaging creative for Playboy’s many TV networks. She currently serves as Playboy TV’s Division VP for creative services.

Shaver has produced commercials for advertising agencies with client billings totaling over $65 million. She used her knowledge and skills to bring together the right team for each of her diverse client projects. Her ability to understand brands and the best way to engage customers or viewers is best seen in her work for Playboy TV. 

In her senior level role, Shaver has overseen the on-air promotions department through the launch of over 10 networks and served as executive producer for 15 Playboy TV network graphics packages. Her team management and leadership skills have been instrumental in creating a streamlined promotions department that delivers on-air, online, VOD, affiliate marketing spots and sales video support.

Joe Tamanini

President, Studio City

Joe Tamanini joined the Emmy Award-winning Studio City in the fall of 2003 and achieved meteoric success. After starting with the company as a production intern, Tamanini quickly rose through the ranks serving as producer/editor, head of creative development, creative director and VP. He is now president of Studio City.

During his tenure, Tamanini has spearheaded the creative pitches and creative direction that has secured Studio City such accounts as NBC’s 2014, 2012 and 2010 Olympic Campaigns; “Live! With Kelly and Michael,” “Criminal Minds,” “Burn Notice,” “Glee,” “White Collar,” “The Dr. Oz Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Queen Latifah Show,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Star Trek,” “South Park” and more. His creative strategy as well as his ability to guide the creative process has been instrumental in the success of Studio City.

Tamanini takes large, out-of-the box creative ideas and helps refine the messaging to the client’s needs, all the while creating award-winning campaigns and spots. Tamanini’s ability to create compelling marketing strategies, brand messaging and visual style while keeping clients comfortable with creative decision-making has played an intricate role in his quick rise to president.

During his career he has won multiple PromaxBDA North America Gold and Global Excellence Awards, and was a two-time PromaxBDA Rocket Award finalist.

Jayson Whitmore

Executive Creative Director & Partner, We Are Royale

Jayson Whitmore brings a relentless innovative spirit and passion to his role as Creative Director of Royale. Since co-founding the award-winning motion design and production studio in 2007, Jayson has brought his conceptual prowess and sophisticated animation style as a director/creative director to building global brands for networks, as well as executing top-line work across different platforms, including commercials, music videos, live concert graphics, digital, and video art.

After graduating from Full Sail University with a BFA in the Recording Arts, Film and Digital Arts programs, he made a name for himself as a freelance animator and creative director working at a number of leading motion graphics companies.

More recently, Jayson has created TV campaigns for Nike, Apple, Toyota, and Hyundai, helped launch a global brand for Disney Junior, rebranded E! Entertainment “Pop of Culture” , Created Hyundai's “Azera Journey” microsite, and created an experimental film for Diesel.

Garson Yu

Founder and Creative Director, yU+co

Garson Yu is Founder and Creative Director of yU+co., a digital media design and production company in Hollywood, Ca. yU+co. has created over 200 title sequences, establishing Garson Yu as one of the industry's leading title designers. In 2006, Yu opened yU+co.[lab], a division in Hong Kong specializing in new media, interactive and experiential design.
