Promax Creative Leaders Workshop

Leadership starts from within. This introspective workshop kick-starts that process for new leaders to be successful in an ever-evolving industry, providing the skills that separate nominal leaders from inspiration ones, giving them a competitive advantage.

In the highly interactive, engaging, and thought-provoking full-day session, participants will discover the impact of defining their legacy, leveraging their personal brand, and making meaningful connections that enhance confidence, credibility and courage. Knowing who you are and what you stand for is key to driving innovation, passion and engagement among those who follow you, and this workshop is designed to unlock those tools for unparalleled career growth and creativity.

INDUSTRY COACH PROGRAM

The Promax Industry Coach Program matches Promax mid-level career members with Promo Pathway students completing their one-year certificate program in writing, editing, and producing promos.

The Industry Coach Program is a four-month, project-based program. Industry coaches help guide students by providing creative and technical feedback and support as they complete their final projects and transition into the entertainment marketing workforce.

We recommend students and coaches meet at least once every 4 weeks in person or by phone/video call and provide creative feedback and support based on the student’s final project deliverables schedule.

INDUSTRY COACHES

  • Assist students with writing, editing and producing their final project promos
  • Prepare them for internships, new career opportunities or full time jobs
  • Offer support in their first few professional steps

Promo Pathway is the nation’s first accredited on-air promotions training program. Produced in partnership with Santa Monica College—and with the generous support of the Promax Leadership Through Diversity Partners—this one-year program immerses emerging talent in our industry through an exciting hands-on curriculum. Students graduate with a comprehensive understanding of entertainment marketing and promotion and the essential skills needed to launch their careers as promo editors, writers, and producers.

Mentorship Program

Promax’s best in class mentorship program matches members at any stage of their careers with mentors ready to help guide them to develop the strategies necessary to accelerate their career and personal growth.

In this one-year program, participants from across North America are matched with mentors to help them pave a road map for success and a deeper understanding of the tools to leverage opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.

The program kicks off with a three-hour workshop session at June conference which includes exclusive training for the mentors and provides a collaborative workshop environment for both mentors and mentees to receive training in communications, leadership, and coaching.

Mentors and mentees are recommended to meet once per month for two hours. Between monthly sessions, mentors and mentees correspond via email and phone calls to maintain and strengthen communication channels.
